The Functional Age Assessment quantifies the biological age your body is performing at — across strength, cardiovascular capacity, mobility, balance, and body composition. Twelve-week longevity coaching for high-performing professionals 40 to 70 in Naples & Bonita Springs, FL — and online nationwide.

You're successful. You can solve hard problems at work. You read the longevity podcasts, you bought the Whoop, you take the supplements. But the body in the mirror keeps drifting in the wrong direction — and nobody is giving you a number that tells you what's actually happening.
The fitness industry doesn't speak your language. Generic personal trainers run programs designed for a 28-year-old. Concierge doctors order labs but don't program your training. The gap between "your blood work looks fine" and "you feel ten years older than you should" is exactly the gap this program closes.
The first step is measurement. Without a Functional Age score, you're optimizing in the dark.
The Functional Age model measures the five physical domains most strongly correlated with longevity in published mortality research. Each is weighted by predictive strength.
Muscle mass and force production are two of the most evidence-backed predictors of all-cause mortality after 50.
Every 1 MET improvement in functional capacity corresponds to roughly a 12% reduction in mortality risk.
Predicts injury resilience, fall risk, and long-term functional independence after 60.
Single-leg eyes-closed stance has the strongest correlation to longevity of any field-based balance test.
Skeletal muscle index is a stronger longevity predictor than body fat alone.
I'm Anthony — longevity coach, formerly Orangetheory head trainer, certified in fitness and health promotion with eight years of coaching experience.
I built this program because I watched my own father score a Functional Age fourteen years older than his chronological age. He's not lazy. He's not unintelligent. He's a successful professional who, like most men in his demographic, was given the same generic fitness advice for thirty years — and who couldn't see the body changing until the gap between his real age and his biological age was hard to close.
The Functional Age model is what I built to take the guessing out of the conversation. Numbers don't lie about how a body is aging. And once you have the number, the work to move it becomes obvious.
I work with a small cohort of clients in Naples & Bonita Springs, FL — and online with clients across the country who don't have access to in-person coaching at this level. Either way, the goal is the same: move your Functional Age in the right direction, measurably, in twelve weeks.
Roughly 40% of weight lost on GLP-1 medications — Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, Zepbound — is lean muscle mass, not fat. That is the difference between looking thinner and looking healthier. Between feeling stronger and feeling fragile. Most clients on GLP-1s are losing the body composition they wanted along with the body composition they didn't.
And most concierge physicians prescribe the medication and ship you out. There's no protocol to rebuild what you've lost. No monitoring of your skeletal muscle index. No structured resistance training to defend lean mass. No way to know if your body is actually aging better — or just smaller and weaker.
The 12-Week Functional Age protocol is built for this exact reality. We measure your skeletal muscle index, grip strength, balance, and Functional Age at week 0 and week 12. We pair that with a 100+ marker longevity blood panel. Every session is programmed to defend lean mass while you continue — or come off — your GLP-1. So you keep the body composition you wanted, without the fragility, the falls, or the Ozempic face.
Whether you're on TRT, HRT, considering it, or simply want to monitor your levels — the 12-Week Functional Age program tracks the hormonal markers that drive everything else: muscle retention, fat metabolism, sleep architecture, recovery capacity, and cognitive performance.
Every client receives a comprehensive hormonal panel as part of their bloodwork: total and free testosterone, estradiol, DHEA-S, thyroid (TSH, free T3, free T4), and IGF-1. We do not prescribe medications — your physician handles that. We DO program your training, nutrition, and recovery around your actual hormonal data — so you stop guessing whether your protocol is working.
This is what separates longevity-informed coaching from generic personal training. Numbers from a lab plus numbers from a body — together — tell you the truth about how you're aging.
All three programs are 12 weeks. All include the full Functional Age Assessment, comprehensive bloodwork (including hormonal panel), custom programming, a framable graduation certificate, and a money-back guarantee. The difference is whether we work together in person, remotely, or as a couple.
Best for: Naples & Bonita Springs, FL residents who can train in person weekly.
Best for: Naples & Bonita Springs, FL couples who want to do this together — country club partners, spouses, accountability pairs.

* Refund applies to clients who complete program compliance: minimum 10 of 12 training sessions or weekly form-check submissions, both Functional Age assessments, and adherence to the nutrition framework. Compliance terms reviewed before program start.
We measure all five domains and calculate your starting Functional Age. You receive a 10-page report showing exactly where your body is performing — and where it's aging fastest.
Your custom training program targets your weakest domains. You train weekly with me (in-person tier) or follow your custom plan with weekly form-check feedback (online tier). Bi-weekly check-ins, 24/7 messaging, ongoing nutrition adjustments.
Same protocol, same scoring. The number either moved or it didn't. You receive a final before/after report quantifying the change in your Functional Age and identifying what to defend over the next year.
No. The Functional Age score is a wellness assessment based on five validated movement and physiological domains. It does not interpret blood work, prescribe medications, or replace clinical judgment. AP Performance does not provide medical advice or treat any medical condition. Clients with chronic conditions are required to obtain physician clearance before starting.
Most personal training is goal-based — get stronger, lose 10 pounds. This is biologically-age based — we move a number that correlates with how long you live. Every program is built around your specific Functional Age weak points and is re-tested at week 12 for a quantified outcome.
We work with most pre-existing conditions, but we require physician clearance for any client with active diagnoses (cardiovascular, autoimmune, metabolic, or orthopedic). The assessment screens for movement issues, and programming is scaled to your starting capacity — not a one-size protocol.
The compliance requirement is 10 of 12 sessions, not 12 of 12. You have a 2-session buffer for life. If you travel, I can give you a hotel-room version of that week's training. Communication is the only thing that breaks the program.
Most clients report meaningful changes in energy, sleep, and recovery within 3-4 weeks. Functional Age changes are quantified at week 12 with the re-assessment. The 5-year drop guarantee is the floor, not the ceiling — most clients in the program move 5-10 years.
